How to get the best from your family photoshoot

So you’ve decided you want to have a family photoshoot and you’re raring to go, how do you ensure you are going to the best family photographer?     TIMING IS CRUCIAL   We’re open Monday through to and including Sunday, so there’s bound to be a slot that works well. Have a look at our online diary to see what appointments we have that will work for you. Think when would be the best time of day for your family to have pictures taken, this usually depends on the children’s ages. If you have children under two, it’s best to avoid nap times as smiles will be harder to come by. Really you want to be coming in the morning and the earlier the better!   For children at primary school I’d recommend avoiding the later slots in the day but more importantly, avoid filling the day before you come for pictures. Swimming or children’s parties before a family photoshoot are not a good mix. Swimming is great exercise and a lovely, fun family thing to do, but it does really tire children out and they’re much more likely to run out of juice whilst having pictures taken. We […]

The best family photography studio in Wiltshire

Here’s some things we like to think makes Imagine’s photography studio special…   WOW FACTOR SIZE     As a young photographer I freelanced at many portrait and makeover studios across the North. In my experience I found many family photography studios to be small white box rooms, with barely enough room to swing a cat. This is not the case here, in fact it’s often said the studio looks like the TV room from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!   I’m proud to say my studio is the largest around and just a short drive from Swindon, Newbury, Andover & Devizes. We can easily host large groups of up to 25 and young ones can enjoy playing in the space, helping their personalities to shine.   The main space is all white with a classic scoop curve against the back wall. There’s under floor heating, air conditioning and large prop access to the courtyard, so even big boys toys like motorbikes and surfboards can take their turn infront of the lights.   NATURAL LIGHT     There’s floor to ceiling windows with shutters allowing us to work with the natural daylight, inside.
